Dosage and usage
You should take Requip exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. The typical starting dose is 0.25 mg three times a day. Your doctor may gradually increase this dose based on your response. The maximum recommended dose is 24 mg per day. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it's almost time for your next scheduled dose. In that case, skip the missed dose. What Requip contains
Each Requip tablet contains ropinirole hydrochloride equivalent to 0.25 mg, 1 mg, 2 mg, 5 mg, or 8 mg of ropinirole. The tablets also include microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol 400, 8000, and red and yellow iron oxides (E172).
Side effects
Common side effects of Requip may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, and headache. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include hallucinations, severe dizziness, fainting, or mental/mood changes. If you experience chest pain, signs of heart failure, or a fast/irregular heartbeat, seek medical help right away.
