Travel and prevention

When travelling, you may encounter some rather unpleasant conditions. These conditions are not serious but can thoroughly ruin your holiday. Fortunately, there is much you can do, both preventatively and at the moment itself. In this article, we will discuss motion sickness, possible side effects of malaria tablets, and traveller’s diarrhoea.

What is motion sickness?

Motion sickness, also known as travel sickness, includes car sickness, air sickness, and sea sickness. All three are caused by the same phenomenon: a moving vehicle that can significantly confuse the inner ear's balance system. This results in nausea and vomiting. The good news is that motion sickness subsides once the journey is over.
