Opatanol

About Opatanol

Opatanol is an ophthalmic solution used to treat allergic conjunctivitis. It contains the active ingredient olopatadine, which works by blocking the release of histamine in the eyes, thereby reducing itching, redness, and swelling. This medication is suitable for adults and children aged 3 years and older who suffer from seasonal or perennial allergic conjunctivitis.

Dosage and usage

For adults and children over 3 years old, the usual dose is one drop in each affected eye once a day. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using Opatanol and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. The effects of Opatanol can last for 24 hours. If you experience eye pain, changes in vision, or worsening redness or itching, contact your healthcare provider.
