To use Oestrogel, you should apply a specific amount of gel to your skin once a day. The usual dose is 2.5 g of gel, which equals two metered pump depressions. You can apply Oestrogel to your skin on the arms, shoulders, or inner thighs. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully to achieve the best results. It's important not to exceed the prescribed dosage to avoid any unwanted effects. If you forget a dose, apply it as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for your next scheduled dose.

Oestrogel contains the active ingredient estradiol at a concentration of 0.06% w/w. The gel also includes excipients such as carbomer, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, trometamol, ethanol, and purified water.

Common side effects of Oestrogel may include breast tenderness, headache, nausea, and skin reactions at the application site. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention may include chest pain, vision changes, severe headaches, and signs of a blood clot, such as swelling or redness in the legs.

You should not use Oestrogel if you have a history of hormone-sensitive cancers, blood clots, liver disease, or undiagnosed vaginal bleeding. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should also avoid using this medication.
