Motilium

Each Motilium tablet contains 10mg of domperidone as the active ingredient. The other components include lactose, maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized potato starch, povidone, sodium laurilsulfate, and talc. The tablet coating consists of hypromellose, macrogol 400, titanium dioxide (E171), and red and yellow iron oxides (E172).

Common side effects of Motilium may include headache, dry mouth, and abdominal cramps. Serious side effects like irregular heartbeat, seizures, or allergic reactions are rare but require immediate medical attention. If you notice any signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or breathing difficulties, seek medical help right away.

Do not take Motilium if you have a known allergy to domperidone or any other ingredients in the tablets. This medication is not suitable for individuals with gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction, or perforation. If you have liver or kidney problems, consult your doctor before using Motilium. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should also avoid this medication. If you are taking other medications that may interact with Motilium, such as certain antifungal or antibiotic drugs, talk to your healthcare provider before starting this treatment.
