Ezetimibe

You should take Ezetimibe exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. The typical dosage is 10 mg once daily. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions carefully. You can take Ezetimibe with or without food. Remember to take it regularly to get the most benefit. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Each Ezetimibe tablet contains 10 mg of Ezetimibe as the active ingredient. The tablets also contain excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, povidone, sodium laurilsulfate, sodium starch glycolate, and magnesium stearate.

Common side effects of Ezetimibe may include diarrhea, abdominal pain, fatigue, and upper respiratory tract infections. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, as well as allergic reactions like rash, itching, or swelling of the face, tongue, or throat.

Do not use Ezetimibe if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform your healthcare provider about any medical conditions you have, especially liver disease.
