  • May help reduce COPD symptoms
  • One inhalation once daily for maintenance
  • Contains umeclidinium to relax airway muscles
  • Not for sudden breathlessness or asthma attacks
  • Speak to your doctor about side effects or allergies

This inhaled medicine may be used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults. It helps keep the airways open, which may make breathing easier and may reduce shortness of breath, wheezing and coughing. It is usually used every day as a maintenance treatment to help keep symptoms under control. It is not suitable for the rapid relief of sudden breathing problems or acute attacks.

It contains umeclidinium, which relaxes the muscles around the airways. This helps the airways stay wider for longer and supports easier breathing. The effect may be noticed quickly by some people, while for others it can take longer before any improvement is felt. The inhaler is designed to be simple to use. It is important to use it every day, even when you feel well, so that symptoms remain controlled as much as possible.

Dosage and usage

Use 1 inhalation once a day, preferably at the same time. Remove the inhaler from its packaging and open the cover. Breathe out fully, but not into the device. Put the mouthpiece between your lips. Breathe in deeply and firmly through the device. Hold your breath for 3 to 4 seconds, then breathe out slowly. Close the device after use. You do not need to rinse your mouth afterwards unless you prefer to. Never swallow the contents; it is only for inhalation.
Do not use more than 1 inhalation a day. If you accidentally use too much, side effects may occur. Contact your doctor if you feel unwell. Skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the usual time. Never take a double dose. Do not stop without speaking to your doctor, as symptoms may return or worsen.
