Grazax is a medication that helps treat allergic rhinitis caused by grass pollen. The active ingredient in Grazax is Timothy grass pollen allergen extract. This medication works by desensitizing your immune system to grass pollen, reducing your allergic symptoms over time. Grazax is suitable for adults and children over 5 years old who suffer from allergic rhinitis due to grass pollen.
About Grazax
Dosage and usage
You should take Grazax once a day, ideally in the morning. The recommended dosage is one tablet under the tongue. Allow the tablet to dissolve completely before swallowing. Do not eat or drink for at least 1 minute after taking Grazax. The effects of Grazax can last until the end of the grass pollen season. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
What Grazax contains
Each Grazax tablet contains 75,000 SQ-T of standardized Timothy grass pollen allergen extract. The tablet also includes excipients such as cellulose, mannitol, and magnesium stearate.
Side effects
Common side effects of Grazax may include oral itching, throat irritation, ear itching, and mouth edema. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, and severe allergic reactions.
Precautions
Do not use Grazax if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if you have severe asthma. You should also avoid Grazax if you are immunocompromised or have a disease affecting your immune system. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare provider before using Grazax. If you have severe heart disease or are taking beta-blockers, talk to your doctor before starting Grazax.
