  • Treats mild to moderate acne
  • Contains benzoyl peroxide targeting acne bacteria
  • Helps reduce spots and blackheads
  • May cause redness, dryness or skin irritation
  • Not for allergy to benzoyl peroxide or pregnancy

This is a gel that you apply to the skin and may help treat acne (spots). It contains benzoyl peroxide, a substance that can reduce the growth of bacteria on the skin and help keep pores clear. By doing so, it may help reduce spots and blackheads.

The gel is intended for external use on the skin and is suitable for teenagers and adults with mild to moderate acne. Results may vary from person to person. Some people notice improvement after a few weeks, while for others it may take longer. The product is not intended for severe acne or for use on damaged or irritated skin. If you do not notice improvement after several weeks, you should consult a doctor.

Benzoyl peroxide works by reducing acne-causing bacteria and helping remove dead skin cells. This can prevent pores from becoming blocked and may help existing spots disappear more quickly. The skin may gradually appear calmer and more even.

Dosage and usage

Wet the skin first and apply a small amount of gel to your hands. Gently massage it onto the wet affected skin. Leave the gel on the skin for 1–2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water and gently pat the skin dry. Wash your hands after use. Start by using the gel once daily, preferably in the evening, so your skin can adjust. If your skin responds well, you may increase this to twice daily (morning and evening). Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, nostrils and other mucous membranes. Do not apply to damaged or irritated skin. If you forget a dose, apply it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next application. If too much gel is used, the skin may become extra red, dry or irritated. Stop using it temporarily until the skin recovers.
