Acnecide gel 5%

About Acnecide gel 5%

  • Treats mild to moderate acne on the skin
  • Contains benzoyl peroxide targeting acne-causing bacteria
  • Helps reduce spots and may prevent new breakouts
  • May cause redness, dryness or skin irritation
  • Do not use if allergic or on damaged skin

This gel is applied directly to the skin and may help treat mild to moderate acne (spots). It contains benzoyl peroxide, a substance known for its action against bacteria and for reducing inflammation in the skin. By targeting acne-causing bacteria and helping keep pores clear, the treatment may reduce existing spots and help prevent new ones from forming.

Results can vary from person to person. Some people notice improvement after a few weeks, while for others it may take longer. The gel is intended for external use only and should not be applied to damaged or very sensitive skin.

Follow the instructions carefully when using this medicine. Applying more than recommended or using it on large areas of skin without medical advice may increase the risk of irritation. Used correctly, it can help the skin appear calmer and clearer over time.

Dosage and usage

Wash your hands and gently clean the affected skin with a facial cleanser and water. Dry the skin thoroughly before applying the gel. Apply a small amount to the affected areas only. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, nostrils, mucous membranes and damaged skin. Wash your hands again after applying. Start by using the gel once daily so your skin can adjust. If your skin tolerates it well, you may increase to twice daily (morning and evening). If too much gel is applied, the skin may become more red, dry or flaky. Rinse off excess with water and use a smaller amount next time. If you forget a dose, apply it when you remember unless it is almost time for the next application. Stopping use is possible at any time, but acne symptoms may return.
