Mirvaso is a topical gel used to treat the redness of the face caused by rosacea. The active ingredient in Mirvaso is brimonidine, which works by constricting blood vessels in the skin, reducing redness. This treatment is suitable for adults with rosacea-related facial redness.

Dosage and usage

You should apply a pea-sized amount of Mirvaso once daily to the affected areas of your face, avoiding your eyes and mouth. Do not exceed the recommended dose. The effects of Mirvaso can last for up to 12 hours. If you experience any severe side effects like persistent redness or irritation, stop using the gel and consult your healthcare provider.

What Mirvaso contains

Mirvaso contains 3.3 mg of brimonidine tartrate per gram of gel, along with excipients such as carbomer copolymer type B, methylparaben, propylene glycol, and purified water.

Common side effects of Mirvaso may include redness, flushing, burning sensation, and skin irritation. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention can include worsening of rosacea symptoms, severe allergic reactions, or a rapid heartbeat.

Do not use Mirvaso if you are allergic to brimonidine or any other ingredients in the gel. Avoid contact with your eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.
