Clonidine

Each Clonidine tablet contains 100 mcg of clonidine hydrochloride as the active ingredient. The tablet also includes excipients such as lactose, maize starch, magnesium stearate, and purified water.

Common side effects of Clonidine may include dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, and constipation. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include a slow heart rate, shortness of breath, swelling of the hands or feet, or signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, itching, or swelling, especially of the face, throat, or tongue.

Do not take Clonidine if you are allergic to clonidine hydrochloride or any other ingredients in the medication. Inform your doctor of any medical conditions you have, especially if you have kidney disease, heart problems, or a history of stroke. Clonidine may interact with certain medications, so inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter and herbal supplements.
