Ciprofloxacin

It's important to take Ciprofloxacin at evenly spaced intervals to maintain a constant level of the drug in your body. Remember to finish the full course of treatment even if you start feeling better. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose.

Ciprofloxacin tablets contain 500 mg of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride as the active ingredient. The tablets also contain microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, crospovidone, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, macrogol 4000, and titanium dioxide as excipients.

Common side effects of Ciprofloxacin may include nausea, diarrhoea, headache, and dizziness. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include tendon inflammation or rupture, allergic reactions like rash or swelling, and symptoms of nerve damage such as tingling or numbness.

Do not take Ciprofloxacin if you are allergic to ciprofloxacin or any other ingredients in the medication. Inform your doctor about any medical conditions you have, especially if you have a history of tendon problems, kidney disease, or myasthenia gravis. Avoid taking Ciprofloxacin if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have a history of seizures or are taking medications that can cause seizures, consult your doctor before using Ciprofloxacin.
