Cialis is a medication containing the active ingredient tadalafil. It is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men caused by various factors such as neurogenic, vascular, or psychological issues. Cialis works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, helping you achieve and maintain an erection.

Dosage and usage

You should take Cialis as directed by your healthcare provider. The typical starting dose is 10 mg before sexual activity, but your doctor may adjust this based on your individual needs. Do not take Cialis more than once a day. The effects of Cialis can last up to 36 hours, so you do not need to time your dose closely to sexual activity. If you experience an erection lasting longer than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help.

What Cialis contains

Each Cialis tablet contains tadalafil as the active ingredient in doses of 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, or 20 mg. In addition to tadalafil, Cialis tablets may contain lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, hydroxypropyl cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, triacetin, titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxide yellow (E172), talc, and iron oxide red (E172).

Side effects

Common side effects of Cialis may include headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushed skin, and stuffy or runny nose. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include priapism (an erection lasting more than 4 hours), sudden vision loss, and allergic reactions such as rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing.

Precautions

Do not take Cialis if you are allergic to tadalafil or any other ingredients in the product. Avoid Cialis if you are taking nitrates for chest pain or guanylate cyclase stimulators for pulmonary hypertension, as this can cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure. Inform your doctor about any heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, liver or kidney problems, bleeding disorders, active stomach ulcers, or any other medications you are currently taking before using Cialis.

Package leaflets

Read package leaflet closely before using Cialis.
