Lucette is a combined oral contraceptive pill that contains the active ingredients ethinylestradiol and drospirenone. This pill works by preventing ovulation, thickening the cervical mucus to make it harder for sperm to reach the egg, and thinning the lining of the uterus. Lucette is suitable for women who want to prevent pregnancy and regulate their menstrual cycle.

Dosage and usage
You should take one Lucette pill every day at the same time for 21 days, followed by a 7-day break without pills. Start the next pack after the 7-day break, even if your period hasn't finished. If you miss a pill, follow the instructions provided in the leaflet. The effects of Lucette last as long as you continue taking the pills correctly. If you experience severe abdominal pain or chest pain, stop taking Lucette and seek medical help immediately.
What Lucette contains
Each Lucette pill contains 0.03 mg ethinylestradiol and 3 mg drospirenone as active ingredients. The excipients include lactose monohydrate, maize starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, talc, hypromellose, macrogol 6000, titanium dioxide (E171), and red iron oxide (E172).
Side effects
Common side effects of Lucette may include nausea, headaches, breast tenderness, and mood changes. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include chest pain, shortness of breath, severe headaches, or signs of a blood clot such as swelling or redness in the legs.
Precautions
Do not use Lucette if you have a history of blood clots, certain types of cancer, or liver disease. This contraceptive pill is not suitable for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, or are on medications that may interact with Lucette, consult your healthcare provider before using this product.
